Race to Wine Country

I’m no marathon runner. I used to be a lot more active, but then life happened. I’ve been sitting at my desk these past few (okay 6 or more… ) months. Sound familiar? Hey, we’re only human, right? I can do this. And if I can do this, then you can too! Especially if there’s the promise of wine at the finish line!!

race to wine countryIn July 2014 I partnered up with the fabulous people behind Destination Races, who host half marathon events in wine country across North America. You may have already heard me mention them here.

This was the deal: I ran a half marathon. And I documented my entire experience, both on this blog and through social media.

This was not just any race, however. This was the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon, selected as the top half marathon finish by Runners World Magazine!

Each week for four months, from the beginning of my training the first week of March up to the race itself July 20, 2014, I wrote a post documenting my experience.
